Look into that strange sky and you can almost hear it. Roaring maddening quiet static hiss of synaesthesia. No human can stand up to it for long.

I drew this a long time ago. It's actually the single oldest thing I've made that still holds up to my artistic standard. The basic image of Hearthstown. I've put it in I think three comics before this one. But none of them ever went anywhere or were read by anyone so that's okay.
Timing is very hard for me to understand, but I feel like this is the right time to step back and establish some location. If it doesn't work for you, you can just pretend this was page 1 and everything that's happened so far happened after this.
